We might think that buying the latest toy or gadget or playground craze and bringing them into our home will somehow bring with it joy and hours of stress free play. Or we might hope for that at least. But time and time again, each time I have brought new toys or games or designated children’s items into the home, they have brought little more than a short burst of interest followed by a new inventory of things that need to be managed within the house (stored, pieces kept together, new batteries found etc).
